Boat diving through the islands of Palau

I explored Palau by boat, diving among walls, reefs and current-swept passes in an island landscape with a powerful identity above and below water.

The journey

An island world shaped by channels

Palau felt like a destination where the journey to a dive was inseparable from the dive itself. Boats moved between green limestone islands and open water, linking reefs, walls and passes influenced by moving water.

This first version stays with the details already recorded. It does not assign unconfirmed dive-site names or wildlife encounters to my experience. Those personal specifics will be added only when the logbook and photographs support them.

The Palau archipelago

This map places Palau’s island and channel system within the western Pacific. Select a labelled pin for further dive information.

Each marker is anchored by its latitude and longitude and attached to the centre of its pin, so it remains on the same site while the map is zoomed or moved. Confirm entry points and navigational coordinates with the operating dive centre.

Looking back

A destination with a character of its own

The combination of island scenery, moving water and boat-based exploration made Palau feel unlike any single reef destination. The confirmed site-by-site route will make the next version still more personal.
