Pilot dive-site draft
La Atlántida
A boat dive near Los Gigantes featuring hardened lava flows, basalt columns, pinnacles and an amphitheatre-like volcanic formation.

What the dive is like
La Atlántida is known for columnar basalt, solidified lava pinnacles and the formation described as the Amphitheatre. The official Tenerife and Canary Islands sources place it near Los Gigantes, list boat access, a maximum depth around 25 metres and medium difficulty.
One current local description places the formations between 18 and 30 metres. Because that conflicts with the official maximum, the structured record retains 25 metres and flags the route-dependent depth for verification with a Los Gigantes operator.
Experience and planning
The site is more appropriate as an intermediate boat dive than as a generic all-levels site. Current, descent control, the selected route and recent experience around 20 to 25 metres should be assessed by the guide.
The name must not be confused with La Rapadura in northern Tenerife, which at least one operator also labels Atlantis.

Practical notes
Plan the dive properly
- Confirm the exact site, route and maximum depth with a Los Gigantes operator.
- The coordinate is an approximate Los Gigantes area point, not a verified mooring or descent point.
- Do not use the map pin for navigation.
- The hero image is illustrative and does not depict La Atlántida.
